Full Description
Lodging and meals provided.  Agency must supply ammunition.

Concealed carry of small revolvers and semi-auto pistols has never been more popular than today.  There has never had a better selection of these small guns that are both reliable and viable for personal protection. They range in calibers not seen for many decades from .22 Rimfire to .45 ACP.  Many officers carry these small guns in the role as back-up to their duty gun or convenient off-duty guns.

Civilians carry these guns as their primary personal protection gun both in and out of the home.  While carried often they are shot very little and little time is spent learning how to most effectively use compact concealable tools.  This course is designed to give the LE professional the skills necessary to efficiently and effectively use the smaller handguns so common today.

It will include classroom and range drills on the following topics; Weapon, caliber & ammunition selection. Sight options, holster types and options, firearms safety, marksmanship fundamentals, handgun handling techniques, A variety of range drills enhancing usage from 0 to 25 yards, including; presentation from the holster and ready positions, close quarter engagements, movement shooting, unconventional positions, incapacitation, grounded officers and reduced light. Students will also complete a qualification course using their handguns.

Attached is the purposed daily schedule for the class. It will be subject to minor adjustment depending on needs of the classroom and range.
